WHO WE ARE

This historic building, in the old part of Fiuggi, dates back to the 1800s. After renovation it was made into a restaurant with two comfortable and attractive dining rooms. La Locanda is a charming little restaurant where courtesy and helpfulness are combined with a passion for cooking by the proprietors. It is a typical family business with Stefano in the dining room and Cinzia in the kitchen, always preparing excellent dishes that are drawn from traditional recipes and given a touch of personal fantasy. All the pasta is fresh and home-made such as the gnocchetti (small water and flour dumplings) with tunafish sauce, a special recipe which perfectly combines the flavours. The simple but classic vegetable soup with bread or the delicate fettuccine (thin ribbon pasta) with sauces made with produce in season.

For the second course we reccomend the “castrato alla Cacciatora” ( meat cooked in the hunters way), "l’abbacchio (young lamb) alla scottadito", "meat parcels stuffed with pecorino cheese and ham", "pigs trotters with beans" and also "pidgeon", when available. The menu varies according to the season as only fresh produce is used at the Locanda. Stefano can advise you on the choice of wines to accompany your meal, offering local wines such as the Cesanese or other Italian labels.

To finish the meal, delicious, freshly made desserts. With it’s cosy and peaceful atmosphere,
the restaurant is perfect for small parties or evenings among friends.
